Fort Wayne Indiana Lift Station Repairs

Lift Station Pump Repairs

How can I tell if my lift station needs repaired?

Lift station repair is a common thing that needs to be taken care of. There are a few signs you can learn when it is needed. Firstly, the most obvious sign is if the lift station control light and alarm are going off. This is a sign that the liquid level is too high. This could mean the pumps are likely not working, or that the control floats that operate the pumps are defective in some way. However, the alarm system does not always work. In that case, you may notice water pooling or green tall grass around the station. This is a warning sign that your lift station is not operating as it should.

Some other signs that there might be issues with your lift station are that the drains inside the facility may be slow. They may also not drain at all, or there may be a gurgling noise indicating the lift station is over full. In all these instances, it is time to call a professional.

Why is my lift station overflowing?

The most common reasons a lift station overflows are problems with parts. These include the pump or the control floats. There could also be a defect in the plumbing or plumbing valves. All of these instances can be a reason why the lift station is overflowing.  There could also be an electrical problem inside the control box, which can also cause the overflow issue.
