Fort Wayne Ejector Pump Service

Ejection Pump Repair and Installation

What is an ejector pump?

An ejector pump moves sewage from a basement to a gravity sewer line. It is generally a small basin with a black lid and an electrical hookup. It is likely located inside a utility room. These are important in most residential houses with a basement. It appears like a sump pump, but the main difference is that it pumps sewage.

If the ejector pump fails, it causes flooding of raw sewage or water, which creates various health hazards.

What is wrong with my ejector pump?

There are three main reasons the pump will not run. Firstly, the pump itself might be bad. Secondly, the piggyback float might not be working as it should. Lastly, the electrical outlet that the pump plugs into could be defective.

If you notice any signs of failure, call us for a free quote. We can diagnose and repair it before it becomes an emergency.

Why is the alarm in my basement going off?

An ejector pit has an alarm that can be hooked up to indicate the system is not functioning properly. If it is going off, call us so we can diagnose the problem and make the necessary repairs.

There are three main reasons why the alarm is going off and it is not working. Firstly, the pump itself might be bad. Secondly, the piggyback float might not be working as it should. Lastly, the electrical outlet that the pump plugs into could be defective.
