Fort Wayne Indiana Water Removal

Crawlspace Water Removal and Decontamination

Why is my crawl space holding water?

In the unfortunate case that you have standing water under your home, you will need to call someone to come out for crawlspace water removal.

There are a few reasons you might be having water in your crawlspace. In some instances, strong storms with significant amounts of rain can cause backups under your home. Also, landscaping around your home could also cause water to pool in your crawlspace. Likewise, yard grading, gutters, downspouts, and flower beds can cause issues. If they are not working properly, they can all cause water to pool in certain areas.

Another reason for flooding might be a broken pipe, broken water line, or a plumbing backup. Specifically, damage or clogs in underground drains could be a culprit. In either case, the reason for your crawlspace flooding will require you to call a professional, like us, to come out and remove the water, diagnose the cause of the problem and provide a fix.

Can somebody clean out my crawl space?

If you are having flooding in your crawl space, you will need someone to come out and get rid of the water. Our company can come and remove the water. We can also decontaminate the area if needed.  Finally, we can diagnose why the flooding or backup is occurring and fix the problem.

What is decontamination?

Decontamination is defined as the removal of dangerous substances or germs from an area. If sewage was backed up into your crawlspace there are numerous germs that will be present. To have a safe and healthy environment that your house sits on top of, you will want the area decontaminated. After the removal of the liquid or sewage, the area will be treated to get rid of harmful bacteria present.

Can my crawlspace have sewage in it?

Unfortunately, your crawlspace could potentially have sewage backup into it. If your crawlspace is flooded with sewage due to a broken pipe or clog, please call us. We can come to your property and remove the liquid. Then we can decontaminate the area and fix the problem causing the backup.

How can I stop my crawlspace from flooding?

If your crawlspace is flooding, the only way to stop it is to figure out the cause. There are multiple reasons why this could happen. In some instances, it is due to a large amount of rain. Another reason could be due to your landscaping or yard grading. Lastly, the main reason is a broken water line, broken pipe, or clogged plumbing.

If you are not sure why you are having problems and need someone to come remove the water, give us a call. We can determine what is causing the backup and help fix the problem if it is plumbing or sewer related.

How do you remove liquid from a crawlspace?

The first step to removing the liquid from your crawlspace is to call us. We are a professional company that has the equipment necessary to pump and haul large amounts of water from your crawlspace.

To remove the water, we bring a large tanker truck that can vacuum the liquid out of your space in a short amount of time. Then we provide a solution for whatever is causing your flooding.
